2007 Ski Jumping Season: Winter and Summer Galleries

SPSC Hall of Fame Summer Ski Jumping Tournament:  September 8 &  9, 2007 : We had 28 skiers competing on two jumps equipped with plastic for summer jumping!  Our 20 Meter jump and our 46 Meter jump.  Brian Wallace (SPSC) won the competition for the guys and Elisabeth Anderson (Eau Claire) won the competition for the girls.  Christian Friberg won the long standing competition held Sunday after the tournament.  The weather was great and everyone had a good time!

Springertournee 2007:  Park City, UT : Central division had 31 skiers compete in this year's Springertournee held in Park City Utah:  August 14-18, 2007.

Nine of these skiers represented the St Paul Ski Club.

Thank you goes out to all the coaches, skiers and families for making this such a great trip!

Leaping Ladies Tournament:  February 23, 2007 : We had a special Friday night tournament in honor of all the female ski jumpers!  Guys were welcome to jump too.  Despite the impending snowstorm warnings we had about 18 skiers jumping on 3 of our hills. We even had four "Leaping Ladies" from Eau Claire who made the journey west for this tournament.  Everyone had fun and we saw some great flights!  An Official Hill Record of 18 Meters was set by St Paul Ski Club Member Trevor Edlund on the 20 Meter jump.

Hall of Fame Tournament:  February 2, 2007 : JOHNNY LYONS SETS THE HILL RECORD of 52 meters at our annual Tournament held to honor the St Paul Ski Club Hall of Fame Members. Brian Roseen (a former Minneapolis ski Jumper) "JUMP" started a fundraising campaign on behalf of the Miracle League of Minnesota.  Brian took pledges by the foot for his distance on two jumps on our 46 Meter Hill and the money raised will be used to help build a Miracle League ball park in the South Metro. Minneapolis Ski Jumping Tournament: January 27 & 28, 2007 : Blue Skies, cold temps and some wind welcomed ski jumpers to the Minneapolis tournament on Saturday January 27, 2007.  We had a good turn out of St Paul jumpers competing on all 3 jumps:  10M, 25M and 70M.  The "King of the Hill" on Sunday was a GREAT success - colder temps and hardly any wind made for an Awesome day to FLY!

John R Lyons Memorial Tournament: January 7,  2007 : We held our annual St Paul winter tournament after a lot of hard work, dedication and long hours by several volunteers.  We had a GREAT group of skiers and good crowd of spectators.  Weather was great - it even snowed a bit during the tournament!  The skiers got a lot of jumps in and everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Christmas Training Camp: 2006 : The 45th Annual Christmas Training Camp was held at the St Paul Ski Club:  December 26-28, 2006. Between 15 to 25 skiers trained during the 3 day camp which ended with a mini tournament.  A Good time was had by all.  Thank you to all the volunteers for their countless hours day and night to make the snow and get the 10 meter jump in top form.
