CELEBRATING 123 YEARS OF FLIGHT! The St Paul Ski Club is the oldest active skijumping club in North America!!! Founded in 1885.

John R Lyons Memorial Tournament January 5 & 6, 2008 : Warm temperatures welcomed the crowd of spectators to the Annual John R Lyons Memorial Tournament on Sunday January 6. With almost 100 competitors total on our 4 jumps, the tournament started with the 46M hill - we worried about the melting inrun, but it held up for 1 trial ride and 2 competition jumps. Moving onto 30M hill, then the 20M down in the woods we saw some great competition. The 10M brought alot of entertainment to the crowd!!! Everyone had a fabulous weekend and it was great to see all the skiers and spectators make it out to the St Paul Ski Club.

2008 SPSC Skier Recipients of Central Division Ski Awards : Each year the Central Division of the United States Ski & Snowboard Association presents Central Division Skiers with special awards. These honors are voted on by the Central Division Committee members and Central Division Club delegates during the Spring Panel Meeting. In 2008, the St Paul Ski Club was fortunate enough to have had four skiers that were presented with these distinquished awards. Congratulations to our skiers on such a fantastic year!!!! The 2008 Central Division Skier of the Year: Johnny Lyons The 2008 Theresa Altobelli Award for Central Female Skier of the Year: Karin Friberg The 2008 Milt Aasen Award for Most Improved Central Junior Female Skier: Michaela Arneson The 2008 Art Knudsen Award for Most Improved Central Junior Male Skier: Trevor Edlund Other Central Division Award Winners are: The 2008 Best Overall Junior Male Skier: Adam Loomis from the Flying Eagles Ski Club in Eau Claire, WI. 2008 Nordic Combined Male Skier: Daniel Englund from the Kiwanis Ski Club in Iron Mountain, MI. 2008 Nordic Combined Female Skier: Nita Englund from the Kiwanis Ski Club in Iron Mountain, MI.
